For Chocoholics

Post by rosemarie »

I just recieved an order from a place called the "Chocolate Flower Farm" ; a carex called Toffee Twist, a Panicum called Shanandoah,, a Penisetum called Rubrum(Purple fountain grass) and a favorite of mine that I lost, Heuchera Chocolate Ruffles. the plants were all great and there was even a little chocolate candle. There were a couple more grasses I want to try. Karma it is in Washington, have you heard of it? I also got an order from Garden Crossings:Heuchera Dolce Creme De Menthe and and Heu. Dolce Key Lime Pie, they were in 1 gallon pots (almost as good as Chris' plants) and heu.Crista which is new this year and was in a two inch pot. Since I don't get to nurseries, I order on line and I have had very good luck. You have a great selection and the people have been great. And wouldn'you know it a three day storm is coming in tomorrow, with snow in the mountains. Bummer, I was hoping to do some planting.

This is really weird!I posted that in 20008, I can't figure that out.I've lost most of those plants, I lost a bunch of plants when I could't get out and water and Lew couldn't help me. I am trying to get caught up again. And now I am having a hard time even getting outside. Today we had rain (hard), hail )not to bad , sun and wind. How was it up in Washington? It has been a weird year! :hmm:
