Perhaps someone should send a message to the bidders & alert them to the HVX. They may not be aware that there is a hosta virus.

That scared me just looking at it. I burned a few Gold Standards a while back..some I bought bare root the year we really started seeing the HVX show up in the box stores. One of the 6 came up looking something like this, so out they went, all of them.

Here's what I got back from the seller (lchichis1337):
You asked:
"Have you had this plant tested for Hosta Virus X (HVX)? It appears this plant is showing the symptoms."
i garden for fun, i just picked these up at a local nursery, and they are beautiful when mature,1st time selling, i thought it was unusual and i thought i would share.
Now we have to find out the local nursery..........

I also emailed the seller and got back that exact same response. I then emailed them again and told them that they should warn any bidders that this hosta "might" be virused, otherwise it would be unethical or even possibly illegal to ship a virused plant in the mail. I did get another response, that I suspect is what they sent to all the bidders and maybe even people who sent them questions, that says they have been told by several people that this hosta could be virused. Apparently it is their first time selling on ebay. Anyone else get a follow up email?
