My first water lily bud of the season

When I went out tonight I saw this bud sticking out of the water. I was so excieted to see one so early. (Here it is early for water lilies.)

Well I don't think it is going to bloom. I guess it didn't like the 2C and I can't even see the bud now.

Awwwwwww..maybe it's just waiting for warmer weather to show again? It's supposed to get HOT and Muggy again here!

Jane, it has been hot and muggy for over a week now.

It has been in the 90's and 100's!

Maybe it just went under the water to cool off?
