Many years ago my father found a little 3-step wooden ladder in someone's trash and gave it to me. It's been on my front porch ever since and I change the plants seasonally.
This year I didn't have time to do much planting so I bought four $2.99 size Dragonwing Begonias and just dropped them into pots that I have wired to the ladder rungs.
I think I got my money's worth as far as curb appeal! I'm having to water every morning and these guys are heavy feeders but they're taking a lot of sun and appear to be loving it.
The pugs behind the storm door are left to right, Gumdrop, Jimbo and Rosebud.

Sweet! Both the ladder of flowers (I thought it was one plant!) and the little pug noses!
