Nice one, Ray. I've had one since 2003 & it's always been in a holding bed until earlier this spring. It grew well in the HB but way too much sun so the blue never stayed long. It had already started losing blue before I it moved this year. Hopefully I've found a spot where it can stay beautiful. I've got pics. I'll see if I can get one on here later. I need to get moving now.

Nice Blue
I agree, very nice blue.
Looks like a nice one for the areas with the most shade.

The pics after I moved it were taken with morning light shining on it so it looked more chartreuse than blue. Here are a couple I took a little while ago. You can see that it's lost a lot of the blue, but I'm hoping next year it will keep it longer. As you can see one of it's main jobs is to help hide the drain spout.

Awesome pics, everyone! What a great hosta! Since my DH kinda likes 'Blue Umbrellas' (only hosta he has even noticed), maybe he would like that one. If I could even get him interested in just the big ones, he would have to put in some new beds to accommodate them, right? Then I could just fill in around the biggies to make it look right, ya know...

Re: Hosta `Eola Sapphire'
Just bought Eola Sapphire over the weekend. What an impressive plant. Got a good sized plant with three eyes. Not looking its best at the moment due to some slug damage, but it looks like it will be a keeper. Still in the pot until I decide where its permanent home will be. Also picked up a large Guacamole for $10.
