Butterscotch Chip Cake
This is the cake from the get-to-gether. YUMMY & easy.
Mix:
1 box yellow cake mix
1 can 'Thank you' brand butterscotch pudding
2 eggs
Put in greased 9x13 pan.
Sprinkle over top: 1 lg. package butterscotch chips,
1/2 cup chopped nuts,
1/4 C. white sugar
Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 min. (It may sag a little in the center).
(I will say that when I made it this time, I couldn't find Thank You brand canned pudding, so I made up a regular cooked box pudding-and it was just another step to do.)

THANK YOU CHAR!!!
Wow, I just had my first piece of this cake after lunch and can see why everyone was raving about it. I even asked Brian if someone bought it or made it, and he said that you were going to post the recipe for it, so THANK YOU
This is great, and I can't wait to make it for another party or at the holidays

I saw this recipe a couple of days ago on a google search. I plan to make it this week-end, but I couldn't find that Thank You brand pudding either. And -- I couldn't find it in a google search.
I'm not much of a baker -- so I'm asking if those ready-made Jello butterscotch/caramel puddings would work in this cake. Just trying to save a step.

How big is the can?

The reason I tried to google "Thank You Butterscotch Pudding" was to see what size the can was --- but I could find nothing.
I did see another recipe for Butterscotch Pudding Cake (from Cooks'com) and it calls for a pkg of yellow cake mix, plus 1 pkg of pudding cooked with 2 cups of milk. However, there are no eggs in the recipe as in the above recipe.

Thank you Char. I had a piece at the get together and it was delicious.
