Hi All--Blue Mammoth has the right name. It has light blue coloring and will be one of the largest hostas in any collection. Zilis lists the size at 65x34. That size is right in line with what we experienced with a mature plant in our garden. The Blue Mammoth in our Friendship Garden started out in 2006 at a somewhat sparse 22x15 and this past summer filled out at 24x11. I don't expect slugs to be a problem with this variety.

Somehow or other, I never acquired this one. A major oversight on my part! So, I was wandering around at the nursery just around the corner, (where they are currently having a half-off everything sale) and found a nice pot of Blue Mammoth. Yeah, I know...a while back I said that I had been on my last plant shopping trip of the year, but when they put things half off the already reasonable prices, then ya just gotta go with it!
