Mr Big was purchased from Hallson's in 2004 and has put on some pretty good growth. It didn't hurt that he started off with big, healthy roots.

Roxanne & Joan, thank you for the comments.
2004 was my first year for buying mail-order Hostas; the Fall of 2003 was when I first noticed there were different Hostas and they looked cool. So, I wanted to get some large Hostas early since it takes so many years for them to actually get large and Mr Big fit the bill for being large. I have been impressed with the growth rate on Mr Big, and, like I said, Mr Big got a good start with Hallson's sending a Hosta with huge roots.

That's really off to a good start! I got mine the same year from Chris and Brian. I didn't get any pics of it this year, but it must be pretty close to that big. I just hope I gave it enough room.
