Got this one from The Boyz last year and I love the colors on it Hopefully I'll be able to get some seedlings from it!

How easy is it to start hellebore seeds? My very first one is blooming now (white double) and I don't know what to look for..... I sure wish I had a little of that one to pollenate with - I bet they would make beautiful babies!

I don't collect any hellebore seeds, I just let them do their thing and every year about this time there are dozens of babies around some of my plants. I have about 20 1-year old seedlings of a purple anemone form that are looking really nice and starting to bloom for the first time. The mamma plant is next to a Heronswood double on one side and a single picotee edge on the other side, so who knows how the insects mixed up the pollen. Here is the parent, and most of the babies so far look a lot like this, with a little variation in color:
