how to treat early deliveries
i have some plants coming from Naylor Creek next week and unless i plant them in the snow i need to make arrangements. i was wondering the best way to treat them if i was to put them under the lights with my other hostas.any suggestions would be more than welcome. i have never bought plants like this before. when i buy early it is just a matter of keeping them out of the frost. thanks Bryan
what kind of plants
i did forget to mention it , they are hostas. sorry about that Bryan

Hi Bryan,
Since they are likely to be completely leafed out I would pot them up in a well-draining potting soil and put them in a well lit area indoors. Then when the danger of frost has completely passed slowly take them outdoors for a little at a time, bringing them back in if the weather is going to get cool again, to harden them off to the outdoors.
Personally I would rather get plants completely dormant and then store them cold until planting time, like notmartha is thinking, but for these that probably would have been a while ago.
Hope that helps.

Just place them in a window and then do like Chris tell you. Take care of both sun and wind when you start to bring them outdoor.
