Our Hummer Ed
This is our dominate male Ruby-throated Hummingbird. He was here last year too. Ed, I and the camera had a magic moment the other day. We were all on the same page and I got some really good pics of our little spunky hummer!
I even got a couple of pretty nice ones(this time through the back window) of another hummer. I have attached a branch on the shepard hook that the feeder is on, making them a "tree" to perch on and they love it!

Re: Our Hummer Ed
What wonderful pictures.
I can see in the pictures how their feet are so tiny they can't get a good grip on the shepard's hook. I'm going to follow your idea and attach a smaller diameter branch to my shepard's hook.

Never before have so few with so much promised to take away so much from so many and then laugh their asses off as the so many with so little vote for the so few with so much.
