After the big storm, all the bird feeders were choked with snow. I went out , cleaned them out and refilled.
Immediately the birds started coming in. Since we live right next to a woody area, there are plenty of places to
sit and wait for 'grub'.

Wow! I've never seen so many cardinals all at once. What's the deal with all the males on one side and all the females on the other? Here, when the cardinals feed, they always feed as "couples".

Beautiful shots, Char! I put the one of the male cardinals on my desktop for my holiday background.
I've not yet filled my feeders, as my garden is still full of berries and such, and there is a pile of corn near the corncrib.
I'm going to fill them today, as I've started to see birds gathering around the feeder checking it out.
