Hog Heaven!

Post by John »

A generous friend knowing of my interest in green sent me HOG HEAVEN, still selling for $200!

But it is a TET, and my collection of greens are all dips...

I grow very few tets, none of them green... what to do...

I have:

ANDROID DREAMS
PRIMAL SCREAM
MORTICIA
GERALD P. BOUD
FIRES OF FUJI
NORDIC NIGHT

That may be it!

I'd like to see some green seedlings, and less round form.

Do any of the above sound like inspiring pollen parents?

Thanks,

John

PS Ed, I am thinking of trying S-280 on HOG HEAVEN, but then again, I plan to pollinate ALL my TETs with S-280!

Alexa, hi! I wonder if that isn't the best idea? It has the luscious GRANNY SMITH as pod parent...

I must admit, I am a big fan of selfing if the plant is a total winner in my opinion - hoping to bring out even better of the best qualities! I would definitely self at least one bloom.

I agree selfing would be the best option for green.
I would also hit it with Android Dreams, and Primal Scream.
I think that the reds and purples would at best give you a heavy edged polychrome, at worst a bunch of edged mud.
But you never know until you try, that's how S-280 came into existence.
Why not try Mort Morss? heavy green edge bred to sharks teeth, might not be green but it could be an interesting combo.

I should be seeing a few S-280 seedlings bloom this summer, I will post them if I do
