My little guy Buddy took his final journey yesterday. He was a true and loyal companion who was very loved and will be cherised forever. I will miss him so much.

Oh no.....I am so sorry.......Bless his heart.......It is so hard saying goodbye to our old fur friends......I have this poem on my fridge with my old Gingers picture.....hope it helps you like it did me...Hugs!!

I Loved You Best

So this is where we part, My Friend,
and you'll run on, around the bend,
gone from sight, but not from mind,
new pleasures there you'll surely find.

I will go on, I'll find the strength,
life measures quality, not its length.
One long embrace before you leave,
share one last look, before I grieve.

There are others, that much is true,
but they be they, and they aren't you.
And I, fair, impartial, or so I thought,
will remember well all you've taught.

Your place I'll hold, you will be missed,
the fur I stroked, the nose I kissed.
And as you journey to your final rest,
take with you this...I loved you best.

I'm so very sorry for your loss and the heartache you are now experiencing. All of us who love our furkids know what you're feeling and I wish we could give you a hug and a shoulder to cry on. I'll keep you in my prayers. Buddy was adorable and I'm sure you're going to miss him greatly. :(

Thank you all.... it is such comfort to share with people who get it and understand that our pets mean so much to us. Doing better now that the the shock is going away and accepting the reality that he will not be coming back.

Thank You,
Claudia

They may be gone in body, but they are always with us in our hearts. Cherish the memories. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you.

I haven't been to the pet forum in a while, and was so sorry to hear about your Buddy.
I hope the remembered joys of his time with you will soon outweigh the sorrow of his loss.

We all get it.. we love our fur kids...and they love us no matter what .. can't really say that about our human kids.. when I had to have my 2 little babies put down.. my DH and I would not even discuss them for a long while.. we grieved much the same way we did when we lost our son..and now we can laugh at the funny little things we remember about them...

Time really does make it easier to bear...
