Hosta of the days -'Twist of Lime' - post your pics
Oops. Was out the door at 9 am this morning and just got home. Am volunteering at and attending the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival. So I forgot about getting a new pic up before I left this morning. Let's make this one for Thursday and Friday.
So, while I have 'Venus', I 'll have to resize pics of it and it's too early to have pics of bloom from this year. So I suggest waiting a bit on it and going on to 'Twist of Lime'. This is a fast-growing, easy to divide mini. Related to the 'Lemon-Lime' family. A good bloomer as well.

Hi Ann,
Thanks for posting these. I'm reading them, but don't have the pictures handy to share but will get out in the garden one of these days to do it
Twist of Lime is one of my favorite border plants, and yes, the flowers are terrific on this one too. The Lemon Lime family is also a reliable reblooming hosta, having two distinct sets of blooms each summer.

I have this one, purchased in 2001. Got it for the name, kept it because it is a cute, tidy little hosta.

Love these one. They are already on the list for next year. Wife wants to put them in pots on the front porch.

We just got ours this year so I'm glad to hear that others like it too. This is what it looked like just a few days after planting.

'Twist of Lime' division I tried this year in the sun, got sunburned later on:

2014 - I'm not seeing a lot of change in mine. I had a second division in a pot which turned totally green during the summer - gave it to a friend who needed one. Picture July 8, 2014. BTW, you'll see a bit of 'Lemon Frost' at the right. The two sort of blend together in the garden.

2015 - July 03. Does anyone else have difficulty photographing this one? I take regular pictures of my garden - the entire collection every week or 10 days. And THIS is the one which is always out of focus. At any rate, it chugs along, growing well.
