clausa var. normalis is a Korean species that has flowers that open as opposed to clausa var. clausa where the flowers don't open.
My plant came from Barry Yinger's Asiatica Nursery in Pennsylvania. The label was clausa var. normalis 'Jilin'.
Hosta Registry - not registered - it is a species

A couple of photos from 2012:
I think the Lakeside Love Affair at the top left corner of the first photo was damaged by multiple late April frosts. In the 2011 photos for the same period it looks fine.

I must admit to having a fetish for this species: it's vigorous, it rises early and I LOVE the flowers....

Hi, I absolutely love the flowers on your clausa Jilin. I have not been able to find any of the Clausa with the flowers that open. Do you have any extra you can share? Thanks, Jon

Yes, I have some "wild" runners. Send me a PM.

clausa normalis 'Jilin' this season as it takes off and overwhelms the stone barrier in front of it. That's Get Nakkid (with the rippled edge) on the left and Harpoon (with the white edge) on the right.
