I actually have 2x Liberty ! I bought my first in early 2013, and then ordered a second that same year for a friend. However, she ultimately decided she didn't want it, so that is how I ended up with two ... NOT complaining.
Sadly, I almost lost
both last spring when they nearly rotted while emerging after a late freeze came through. They both got repotted into the same (but smaller) pot and left to recover for the remainder of the year. Come Sept, they were half the size they were when I had bought them originally.
I hope this year to have them at
least as big as when I originally bought them in 2013.
The moral of the story, given its snail's pace, is that Liberty needs to start its career in your garden in the ground so as to minimize the potential for potted mistreatment.
But if I do ever make it up your way I might lie and say mine croaked ... a 'small' division of yours would put me ahead by 4 or 5 years at this point.
