This is a very rewarding white centered hosta. Unlike it's momma, it emerges pure bleach white, no lightening up as the season goes on. As such, the stark contrast of the pure white next to the hunter green edge and sometimes apple green in between gives a splendid show early in the season that doesn't stop !!!
I am heavily biased to the white centers, but this one is Top 3 in terms of vigor, consistency, display, and overall color. Most will vouch that you sometimes need to love the white centers a bit more, but not this guy. Solid citizen !!!
Here is a progression of his progress in my garden thus far:

5/30/2013
5/11/2013

Thanks for looking,

The only thing two Gardeners will ever agree on is what the other is doing wrong.
You won't know how to grow a plant successfully until you've killed it a few times.

Ludi, that's gorgeous.
So far, white centers have not done well for me.

Ludi,
Your 'Half and Half' is a beautiful Hosta all season long, but the late-season, dark color is way cool.
Please keep the photos coming,
Cowboy
