'Amalia' - a Stunner
I purchased 'Amalia' (formerly 'Princess Amalia') when it was a limited offering, and because it was a sport of the beautiful Dancing Queen. It quickly went out of production in the states, and I see where It received a bid of $150 at the AHS Convention. Unfortunately, I stepped on her when she was emerging from the ground, but she is making a great recovery! This princess is going to be a real beauty and rival her mother when it comes to looks.

That is really pretty. Hopefully it gets into production somewhere domestically - I would definitely add that one to the catalog

Definitely a stunner. We were fortunate to receive one as a gift for hosting a hosta society meeting. I had no idea that it got so pricey.

Re: Princess Amalia - a Stunner
Emerging pic from this year.
Note that the name is now officially 'Amalia', because rules forbid naming a hosta after a person without permission. The rules committee says that "Princess Amalia" is a person (well, she is), so they just shortened it to Amalia. Either way, this isn't in the index here, so I'll add in the usual links:

Hosta Library: http://hostalibrary.org/a/amalia.html Last year this greened up much more than I would have expected. But it is certainly nice in the spring.

Truly beautiful.

Amalia with a little deer damage.
At the top of the frame is one of my sports from a Gold Standard that I named Stephanie in Moonlight for my daughter and the sport looks like Moonlight. Here's an old reference to that plant - didn't realize it was 2010 - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=53129
