Re: Hosta of the Day - Searing Flame
Here are some earlier photos from when it first came in late 2010.
Here is the small one on the left with Iron Gate Supreme center bottom (not looking very "Supreme" - should be more streaky); Blue Ivory center top; Kisuji right: Here is the larger one with Athena at the top left corner: Here is the group: Fragrant Fire top left corner; Athena (with bee damage); Great Escape just below Athena; that Kisuji is at the bottom left in this frame; two Olympic Sunrise on the bottom edge; some Striptease variants up the right edge - Pole Cat bottom, White Bikini middle (right of Athena), tiny T-Dawg; Maid Marion top right; Fair Maiden above and right of Athena. Here it is in early 2011: In this image the larger Searing Flame is on the top mid edge with Great Escape top left corner; Kisuji left; two Olympic Sunrise in flower; Striptease sport.

Re: Hosta of the Day - 'Searing Flame'
I took off the stable piece and put it in another part of the garden - hope it survives.
Here is the piece. And here it is planted. And here is Searing Flame back to normal. It's roughly in the center. The two streakers to it's right are both Iron Gate Supreme which also had a stable piece that I removed.

Searing Flame today - I need to check the sport I took off last season but that area is covered in chickweed which never seems to die in winter. (I have a wonderful crop of wild strawberries in another bed and tons of grass in another bed - winter doesn't slow down the junk.)
