Hers and Little Clipper

Post by Patrushka »

This is the first bloom on Hers. It was a bonus with one of last years orders. I have never seen an iris with two standards and two falls. Is this a commonly seen anomaly?

That Little Clipper is a cutey! And yes, two or four segments is a common anomaly in irises. Usually seen in either the first or last blooms.

Lovin your pics Pat! I've only got an old strain of irises... my friend got them from her mother's garden and gave some to me. I'll have to post a pic when they bloom.
