GREEN Daylilies/Exciting Intros
GREEN Daylilies/Exciting Intros
This is the time of year when I start researching suitable parents to obtain for my hybridizing program. Here is a super find, a large ruffled white with huge green throat that expands to overlay the flower!

At present, this is one of Paul Owen's 'future' seedlings, but while you're on the site, check out his exciting new introductions for 2007!

Boy that is a nice one John...do you have it ordered yet...hurry quick...lol!! Love the open form too!
I had to look at the other intro's off course. I like 'Nora' and 'Screaming Queen'. 'Ulterior Motive' has the in vogue edges.
How about Frank Smith's Granny Smith? I think you have to buy all the intro's to get it. Leslie Renee (Stamile??)is suppose to have lots of green in it. Holy Guacamole is absolutely gorgeous..well in the pictures I've seen. I cannot afford any of these.
All tets and I know nothing of their proformance.
I love the di you have chose for sure!!! Size, form, and that lovely green coloring..wow! What do you plan to cross it with??

Very nice, John!
Good luck with your hybridizing. I hope we'll soon be seeing a green beauty. I enjoyed looking at the new intros and the general cultivars too. It's a nice site for some winter eye candy.
I like Intimate Portrayal, Lovely Miss Laucius, Nora, Possession of Obsession, and Running for the Border. They are out of my price range but I like them.

Thank you all for your posts. The prices of many of these are prohibitive, but will eventually come down-- it is all supply and demand.
Sharon mentioned "teeth"-- these also interest me, and I am starting seeds from 'Forestlake Ragamuffin' and 'Gram's Dream'. (Several different crosses, chosen for improved saturated color.)
I was thrilled to get seeds from a cross involving Brian Mahieu's 'Chartreuse Sphinx Moth'...a very nice green.
