And something has been nibbling on it. Any idea what would put the holes in it?? Just seem mighty early for bug damage, but I am a newbie to hostas!
I received Winsome from Hostalady last year in the secret trade. It is such a cute little one, I don't want to lose it!
June is only one eye but looking good.

Hi Claudia,
Holes through the new eyes is most often cutworm damage. When I see this I sprinkle a little sevin or any other granular insecticide I have around for cutworms/grubs around that plant.
And thanks for the reminder. I had a couple spots last year where the cut worms were bad and I don't want a swiss cheese repeat of last year
And I like Winsome too. It is a great little grower and a nice little plant. Might not have the whiz/bang that everyone is looking for, but a nice plant. Sometimes I just like it when they grow good and don't put up a fuss

Winsome
I got Winsome last year.
It is a quietly, perfect little plant.
I thought I would grow it in a pretty cobalt blue pot just for fun.
It is in the ground along my pathway now & such a sweet thing.
Chris is right about plants that grow well & are fussy things.
