Princess of Darkness is a weird little (medium) plant that seems, to me, to have some Fortunei in its background - it hasn't flowered yet for me.
I bought this plant at Hosta College in 2011. It was just a nice cream-centered green edged plant. I liked the looks of it but it has evolved into something else.
Here it is in 2011 when I bought it.

Prince of Darkness a little later in the 2011 season
I didn't realize how drastic the change would be when the cream color went bright white which you can see in the background leaves.
Here here in the 2012 season - sorry I don't have better pictures
Early Late with the bright white - the small leaves in the center. I put the plant into a trough with Bogie and Bacall on one side and Formal Attire on the other. But I hadn't noticed the real change that was coming.

The big change showed up in the 2013 season. I hadn't noticed that the large cream-colored center on most of the leaves was getting smaller and few had the original leaf.

Early Leaves intermixed in the trough with Bogie and Bacall (bottom) and Formal Attire (top) And a couple really streaky leaves

Re: Hosta of the Day #2 - Prince of Darkness --> Purgatory
In researching this really streaky form I found that Prince of Darkness has a sport called Purgatory.
The Hosta Library photos of Purgatory show leaves that are very similar to the streaky ones shown here.

That's Formal Attire on the bottom right.

Finally caught Prince of Darkness in flower. Reading back over previous postings I had forgotten how variable this plant is compared to the original but I always thought it was similar to something else - now with the flower I can hunt and compare - if I can remember what it was many years ago.
I also need to get individual leaves to see what all is in there.
