Here are two shots showing little hostas on their own and in combinations. These haven't been arranged for effect yet this year. I need to expand this display area a bit.
Too many to name (and I probably wouldn't remember anyway), but I'll highlight a few.
'Slim and Trim' is in the middle pot here. Yes, it's a smaller blue hosta, but it rapidly outgrows any trough planting!
The gold one behind it is 'Cherry Tart', an Alttara Scheer plant (so not registered). I'll probably use this in some crosses this year.
Behind S&T on the left is 'Little Devil', which has little leaves but becomes a big plant.
Lots of things in this pic.
'Hyuga Urajiro' at lower left.
'Cameo' is the adorable mini at center bottom.
Behind that is, I think, 'Diamond Necklace'. (first entry for this?)
'June Spirit' is the big one. (first entry for this?)
Note: these are iPad pics, so not the best quality. Just walking around this morning before work.

I like the mini/small but don't have too many. I really like Dixie Chickadee except it is fast to change to all green and I'm constantly removing the green sections. I also like Cracker Crumb.
Re: Small/mini hostas
Very nice, always love to see minis being used so beautifully. I do notice that your Cherry Tart has quite a different plant habit than mine, which is almost completely upright. Perhaps that's a function of being potted?

Re: Small/mini hostas
Could be. I checked to make sure that one is Cherry Tart and not Lemon Zest, which is also in a solo pot in this display (but not shown). Pretty sure I got it right.
(on a side note, I see in this year's registrations a hosta called 'Zest of Lemon'. Seriously, the registrar allows this? There are so many STUPID hosta names. [*cough* Steve Chamberlain *cough*]).

Those are really nice. I like the idea of them in bonsai pots.
