Great Carpet Cleaner for Those Pet Oopses!
I posted this on Lucy's post but thought I'd give it it's own post since most of us go through oopses with our pet at one time or another.
I have found that a product called Tough Stuff is just wonderful for cleaning the carpet after a pet accident. I've been using it for years now. I find it at auto parts stores like NAPA but sometimes you can find it in the auto section at Wal-mart or other stores. It is made to clean car interiors.
Right now, my Zippy is on a special food that has an orange-y color to it and when he vomits it up on the beige carpet it's pretty terrible but the Tough Stuff gets ALL the stain out and I don't smell anything after I clean it either. The last accident was very large and, pardon me for being blunt, soupy and gloppy. I thought I'd never get that mess out but after cleaning it three times with Tough Stuff, the stain is completely gone. Sometimes you do have to repeat the cleaning two or three times, depending on how icky the oops is.
Anyway, just thought I'd let you all know it works so well. What is pet ownership without an occassional oops?
Thanks and Have a Great Day! Still muggy, soupy and hot here.

Hi Lionitus !!
Thanks for the infor. I will have to try and remember to look for it soon, as my *Out* for pet odors is getting low.....It works good, too....I got it when Curtis peed on the carpet.
We are getting some much, much needed rain right now, and will on and off through the weekend!! Yippeee!!
Have a great day Lionitus, and thanks again!!

Did you try the *Out*? It worked for me....
They have it at Menards, by the carpet cleaner stuff. And I would think they have it at the pet store, and maybe Wally World....
Good Luck!!Nothing stinkd up the house like puke & pee....
I know....I just did another spray on the puke spots from Ginger.....I am hoping that the second time I got it all....

Good Luck!!Nothing stinkd up the house like puke & pee....

I surely didn't notice any smell coming from the basement carpet until my roofer didn't cover my ridge just before a rainstorm. Since the I'm noticing it alot!
Lot'a o'water cascaded down the walls and now I can really smell something quite unpleasant. Guess I will just keep scrubbing til hopefully it's gone?

Am always looking for a product that works............I don't know if any of you remember - but our Aussie/border cross Tess has Megaesophagus - - which means she has no nerves or muscles to move food to her stomach - - we rely on gravity and over the last 15 months have tweaked and changed her diet to get to the right 'mix' - - she is now on canned food totally - - kibble just doesn't stay down - - b4 I get too off subject - you can imagine what this affliction can do to carpet - - needless to say half the house is now in laminate flooring!
(there WERE advantages
) She is such a good girl and sincerely tries to get outside b4 it happens - which is rarely now compared to months of at least 5 times a day - - but I do have a few spots I will definitely try this one - - thanks for the 'heads-up'........maggie

I first got turned onto "tough stuff" when I went to detail mu SUV interior. It's alot like scrubbing bubbles but better. I also like a detail wipe called Dyna Wipes. I know I got good trade in $ when I detailed Andy's old truck cuz it cleans up stuff super. Thanks for the hints. Later, Love, Lisa

I find that 'Nature's Miracle' does a great job of altering kitty pee so it doesn't attract other kitties to pee in the same spot. I also use 'Resolve' to clean up hairball messes.
