My first spring iris bloom

Post by Garden_of_Mu »

Things are a little later this eyar than last, but then last year was exceptionally early. this is a little noid MDB. Possibly a species or at least a very very old one (you can tell by the extremely narrow hafts). The flower is only about 6 inches at the top, though the foliage will reach about 10" as it grows over the summer.

Hey Mike! Is that the one that you gave me a piece of last week? I broke it apart and filled a pot with it, hoping to get the same effect as yours in the pot. Can't wait to see it blooming :) Thanks for sharing

Yep, that's it... and my pleasure! Thank you for taking care of my babies for me. :) I iddi have a coral bark maple in this pot, but it died on me. I'll take all these out when tehy are done blooming and replant them elsewhere in a big mass. Should have been done last year, as they are really overgrown in here.
