Thank you for the wonderful pictures! Maybe one year I will make it up "north" for a gathering. It would be heaven to talk with people who understood the "hosta" complusion.

Chris and Brain, your place looks great. The type of place you want to come and look all day.

Thanks, everyone, for the great pics and the stories.
I hope to come one of these years, too! Maybe next year!

p.s. (Chris and Brian...maybe next year you'll have to see if you can find someone to run the nursery for the day so you don't miss out on so much of the fun!! )

Wow, it sounds like everyone had such a good time!! And another wow for how much everything has matured at Hallson's since my buying trip up there in July 2005!! It's looking really good, Chris!!

And, Becky in Tennessee, maybe next year you and I could drive up together . . . I'll be Arlene in Tennessee by then, instead of Arlene in Indiana. I'm lots closer now, though!

I had the best time at the event, and a couple side trips too!
Didn't take any pictures, there was just too much else to see, do and discuss.
I notice Wanda got all of her trade plants from what I brought, and if anybody else wonders about their plant with the little blue plastic markers in them, those were from me too.
The three unnamed big seedlings I brought, I would have kept if I knew the heritage, so they may turn out to be pretty special orphans. I particularly like the little one with the narrow boat shaped leaves. I might want a piece of that one back some day. Isn't that one of Helen's? or was it Paul's?

Hi Dave, it was great meeting you Saturday. At the auction I won from you the possible Kabitan x Sparkling Burgundy and the little Cinnamon Sticks x Stardust. Helen won the other one you are referring too. I'm looking forward to seeing them all grown up. :P

Paul,
The one we split I believe was the kikutiixgracillimas seedling also from Dr. Dave. And, yes, I did get Dr. Dave Seedling #3!

Paul,
I think that one probably Kabitan x Sparkling Burgundy. Again with the tag lost, we can't be sure...
I didn't ever have a Kabitan x Cinnamon Sticks. It had the really pink looking bracts on the flower scape.
If I remember, I'll look for the pics from 2004 I took that remind me of that scape.
I hope you will take a pic when it flowers.

Dr. Dave, you of course are correct. I meant to type Sparkling Burgundy...:-? I will post pics of the flowers, can't wait.

Hi Helen, thanks again for your offer of the division, I appreciated the gesture. I was running out of time and had to leave in a hurry and didn't have a chance to divide it, so I gifted my division to Wanda. So make sure she takes a piece when it goes home with you. Thanks again! :P
