Please help ID this perennial!

I planted this beautiful perennial in early summer, and it's still going strong, even after our first frost in Maryland. I bought 4 plants, and they have all fanned out 10-fold (and have sprouted new plants as well). It has shiny dark green leaves and is covered with tiny purple daisy-like flowers.

Welcome. I can't get it to pull up to a larger shot, but it appears to be a possible perennial geranium?

Difficult to see the small pictures.

Vinca minor perhaps?

I think Grunt has it. The leaves look like Vinca Minor.

Okay I have to go look at mine but it's not branching out like this one. I take back my guess until we get better photos.

Nope. Definitely not vinca minor. It holds its leaves to the stem entirely differently.

It resembles a tender annual in MN. I think it looks like Mexican heather. (common name) Love the hot pink / purple color. And Welcome classicat. Got kitties? Later, Love, Lisa

Thanks for your replies, but none of them rings a bell. I bought the plants at Lowe's, and they don't know what it is either. I saved the ID card from one of the pots but cannot find it.

I have a phone line connection, so this is tedious for me. Yes, I have 2 kitties, aged 14 and 15.

Just wanted to let you know that Spider saw your same post in the Welcome forum and thinks it might be Mexican Heather. A similar plant was purchased by Spider only it was at another box store.....Home Depot.

It looks like Putnamgardens and Spider have it right. Thanks for the link, Spider, because I wanted to know how to care for them in the winter and spring. Based on the description without the picture, I never would've believed they were tropical evergreens because they have made it through 2 frosts this month. The flowers wilted a bit, but the plants still look so nice. I guess the killer frost is coming soon. When I move to another house, I'm definitely taking these with me (I already started some in pots from the extra sprouts).

Yes, my kitties are adorable, even though they're 14 and 15, and the 14-year-old has been very ill the past 7 years. I'm lucky they still look and behave like kittens. Evidently there are lots of cute ones on this forum about perennials!? I especially like "looking-into-lens" kitty on the link.
