24 Hours Left Before The Planet Explodes

Post by jonbry123 »

Just kidding but saw this question asked in another forum recently and thought I'd ask the same here.

In 24 hours the earth will explode. You can ONLY take three hostas with you that you already own-no time to place that last minute order for that special one on your want list. No smuggling additional plants as you will be checked to make certain you haven't exceeded your limit of 3. Which 3 will you bring with you? For me:

I'd have to choose
Liberty
June
Blue Angel
Because they would all look good together also.

Where are we going? Is the climate favorable to hostas?

Lol. Yes Phil in fact the climate is so favorable that they will grow twice as fast so we will no longer have to wait 3-5 years until they reach maturity. Average time will be under two years. It's why this planet was chosen and being the "Friendship Plant" in case we met other life forms this was the only plant picked to take with us.

I asked that very same question myself Mark and was told there are slugs there the size of cows but they are carnivores not herbivores so our hostas will be fine us on the other hand....well

Ita such a hard choice. The only thing that will keep me sane would be the thought other hosta lovers will be out there to trade with. LOL
So I would take
Lakeside Old Smokey for the ripples
Linda Sue for good substance
One of my breeders to get started with more babies.

I know I am past the point of no return but what a way to go.

Would've taken Halcyon instead of Stained Glass, but a small branch fell off my tree and pierced a hole in one of his leaves :(

Guardian Angel - because it will eventually sport and give me Blue Angel and Earth Angel as well...
June - because it is the best, and also will eventually sport and give me Halcyon and very eventually all 30 or 40 from that family
and, of course

With three of us at home and 15 non-hosta people living in homes adjacent to mine, I'll leave the planet with 54! And I'll share. :D

If we're all going to the same place them we should each take three different hostas. Plus all the seed we can carry!
