It is a good sized hosta. I think the shape of the leaves is unique.
Can anyone identify this?

Re: Can anyone identify this?
That little bit of a wave and the rounded leaves with the point make me think of Hosta Pizzazz. Have you had it a long time, remember where you got it, or about how much you paid for it?

Solved - can you identify this?
Chris, you are the second vote for Pizzazz. I posted on the GW site. Since you are definitely a hosta guru, I'm considering this solved. It really is gorgeous!
Pizzazz sounds familiar. I have had it a good while as it is quite large. I am terrible about labeling but I recently retired and vow to do better.
I have a lot of named hostas that I no longer know the names and hope you won't be asking for help in identifying.
Thank you!

I'm also terrible at proofreading! I hope you won't mind me asking for help in identifying my unlabeled babies.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Most all hosta nuts like to play, "name that hosta", so post away.
It's best if the number of hosta per post at one or two, because it gets confusing trying to identify which one you are commenting on.
I look forward to playing.

Hi PlantNutz,
At first glance I thought ... Robert Frost ...
Then I read you indicated it is some years old ... old enough I would think to have matured into its margins ... which if that is the case, the margins on yours do not seem to be wide enough for Robert Frost.
Then I thought Christmas Tree ... but it doesn't seem to have the rugosity that Christmas Tree does at maturity ... the margins are right though.
Taking Chris's suggestion of Pizzaz to the Hosta Library it seems that your leaves are smoother than those pictured ... but again, the margins are right.
So I will end with ... I have no idea what you've got there, but I will keep sniffing around and see if I can't find some others to bounce it off of.
Best,
Ludi

Hi bk and ludi,
I don't remember ever buying Robert Frost. I used to have Christmas Tree but it croaked years ago.
When I looked at the hosta library for Pizzazz which someone on GW suggested, it did not seem to be. But, when I googled it, some looked nearly identical and then when Chris also thought so, I think it probably is it. The name is familiar so I think I have bought it some time ago.

Re: Can anyone identify this?
I would not be able to ID that one but looking at the shape of the leaves I would say Sum and Substance has a history in there. Is it a LARGE leaf?
