First b loom, 2nd one coming

Post by oldcoot »

:bd: :bd: :bd: OC had gotten tired of waiting for the Liliums to bloom,, so he went out friday morning afterr he showers stopped, and had a word of prayer with them. He told them that they were planted FOR the Lord and they were letting HIM down. Lo and Behold, Saturday Morning one of the bloomed. Scrawny little thing but never the less a bloom. OC thinks that it might be one he planted last fall and which came up too early, serves it right. The big bud, was still not opened and when OC got hom from Curch this Morning (YOU DID GO DIDN'T YOU) It had still not bloomed but will tomorrow or the next day for sure. Lots of Pods changing color, so should be a bumber crop. Witrh all the watering the good LOrd gave them, they are sure pretty and green again..Thank you Lord for your pretty flowers and for making them grow into such beauties...That Old Coot named John, a gardener for the Lord.

Pixie Liliums

Post by oldcoot »

These were planted 4 years ago, but OC never saw them. Last fall he had the Forsythia bush cut way back a good bit and he guesses that that let them show...This fall, he will move them out into the edge of the shade bed that gets partial sun......

They will certainly get you more, like this one. This is a trumpet Lilium called Regale - Alba. You can differentiate it by the Regale having a purple bud, he Alba does not. Got a Reagle too showing that, just not edited yet.

Please enjoy GOd's beautiful Lilium....OC,
