Midwest Convention
Just thought that I would check in and see who all will be in Davenport for the convention.
Here are a couple seedling leaves.

Putnam party of two will be there. I understand we have the same convention numbers as Indy, One and two. I'm bummed we had hail damage so I'm not previewing any sports. RATS! I'm sure the red hat girls will help to whoop it up. Later, Love, Lisa
P.S. I heard back from the Artistic gal....she wants me to encourage others to participate.

Have I mentioned lately that my drinking team has a hosta problem?
I'll be there! Lisa, should I bring my red hat?

Unfortunately me and the wife won't be there. After the tornado hit we were so busy I forgot to send the registrations in before June 15th the cutoff date. So now there will be a late fee and I'm not forking out $100.00 more for the both of us to go.. I didn't have a problem with $125.00 a person but to me $175.00 a person is a little expensive for me. Hope everyone has fun and takes lots of pictures.
Thanks Josh and Dave. Just talked to Jim's wife and I'll be going after all without a late fee. . We can't find a babysitter to watch the kids that long so Trisha opted to stay home while I went
. I'm within 30 minutes from the convention so I'll save a few more bucks for hostas by driving back and forth
.

Debbie, the T-shirt Rod is wearing is the official convention shirt for the Midwest Regional. Bix Blues is the theme, as Bix Beiderbecke was from Davenport, and the convention plant this year is 'Bix Blues'
I will be there earlier on Thursday to decorate the Hotel lobby, along with Linda P., and anyone else who wants to help out.

YES! Bring those red hats
DO bring your red hats. I'll bring an extra feather boa so if there are lotsa lady's, we'll break into two groups/gangs. We started this tradition in Dubuque. Kim chose my hat for me. You don't even have to be 50 to join in the fun. This year I got beads to leave on the men after we "hosta hottie" them. Can you guess the two colors? Poor Andy...bunking with two women. The honeymoon's over. Later, Love, Lisa
