Name: H. 'Curly Fries' - 2012

Description: very wavy, narrow, super thick leaves that give a "spidery" appearance. If grown in half a day of sun, its foliage will fade to near white.

Size: Small [5" tall x 16" wide]. Lavender flowers.

Origin: R. Solberg. Seedling of 'Pineapple Upsidedown Cake'
Flowers: lavender, in August on a deep purple scape.

Notes: I like this one a lot. The leaves look several different colours from white to dark green. Lovely flower in perfect scale with the size of the plant.

Love, love, love this plant. I gave it a garden location near my driveway and I smile every time I park my car. It has grown really well. Though I may have to move it because I'm going to lose a large ash tree just south of it. We'll see what happens next year.

Still love this plant. This year it has been grown in full sun (I lost a tree) and it hasn't skipped a beat. This photo August 13 and it still looks pretty good in mid-September.

Mine has grown so much since last year when I grew it in full sun that this year, it rather reminds me of a hedgehog.
This picture is from mid-July. I have later ones but haven't had time to finish editing them.
