Working on a simple price list page. Is this helpful?

Post by Chris_W »

Hi,

Last night I was working on a simple price list page for the website, that basically just gives you a quick list of the items we sell and the price. No order functionality right now, but I'm thinking about it, though I think that might take up too much resources to list with every single item like this. However the search ability with this list is very quick and easy. For example, if you are looking just for ferns, put that in the search filter and all of those come up. To order just click through to the item's page.

Do you think this is something useful?

Check it out here: http://www.perennialnursery.com/pricelist.php and let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Chris

I just added the quantity available to this list too, so it is a quick availability listing too. Quantities are minimum estimates, we often have more than listed but are conservative as we sell both here and online so I typically keep some plants for local sales and others for mail order. Once something is sold out/discontinued it comes off this list.

For those that know exactly what they are looking for, this would be great. For those like me, who spend hours looking at all the different images and descriptions while trying to make up their mind, this wouldn't be necessary. I do like the idea of having the quantities available. Then I could refer to the price list page and know how fast I have to make up my mind. ;)

Thanks, yes, you sort of have to know exactly what you are looking for, though the ability to filter it quickly makes it really easy to find what you are looking for. Also I have a feeling there are many people who didn't even know we sold this many different perennials, so it shows all of them quickly and easily.

I'm working on a couple other projects too, and am always looking for ways to make shopping and finding things easier in our online catalog :)

I love it. Plus where you made it so it links the Hosta information it addresses those who might want more information or are new to Hostas. I know I will use it next time I order.

:hmm:
No. If I look for a special plant I use Google, then when I find it,Ii can spend hours on an interesting site and more if it is an EU site

If I can see there are 12 left.... it just tell me not to hurry... sort of ... out of my mind.

If you would like to get my interess .. show me some pics,- could be part of a good combo for space reasons
A hosta or 2 a fern an astilbe and, and and then an other pic and for sure: We do sell the other plants .... in better language
