Hosta Identification help
Does anyone have any idea which hosta this is . It starts out with a very faint chartreuse border . The underside of the leaf is white . Average texture. Would really appreciate your help.

I'm sorry I don't recognize that one. That white back should help someone make an id, though. Hopefully someone while know it.

Re: Hosta Identification help
It's got me stumped, too. You could try posting it to the "American Hosta Society" facebook group page. Add in anything else you know about the plant: leaf size, where it might have come from, how long it has been in that place, etc.
Or try working your way through this very long list of white-backed hostas. http://www.hostalists.org/hosta_list_wbh.php

I think I got it figured out...Royal Flush . Saw it in another garden ...looks like it.

I'll take a look at mine, but the center on my Royal Flush is thinner.
This one still intrigues me so I'm going to keep looking...

Re: Hosta Identification help
Your hosta is cerainly not Royal Flush. Maybe the other garden has it labeled wrong? Royal Flush has a broad gold margin, heavily corrugated (textured) leaves, and no white backs.
Do you know about the Hosta Library? http://www.hostalibrary.org Use it to compare authentic pictures to any names that you or others might come up with.

I have seen that leaf before - my Collector's Banner will have some leaves with that "look" - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=56807. But CB is a highly variable plant.
Can you get a close-up of the end of the two-tone leaves to see if there is a "Glow" (watermark) between the colors.

Thanks for your help. I look at hosta library all the time, it is helpful to identify . It does look a lot like Royal Flush the only difference is the gold margin is not as wide so I am still stumped. Not Collectors Banner...wish it was , that's gorgeous.

Re: Hosta Identification help
You should try a wider group to get an answer.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/2248595978/ (and follow the guidance of the "pinned" post at the top) You have to get permission to post.
There is also some Hosta ID Facebook group, but I don't participate there. The regular AHS group is exhausting enough. With internet groups like this, it's either feast or famine, it seems. We used to feast here... and I find this much more pleasant than Facebook.
